JUSTICE is the only monothematic reportage format in Germany that deals exclusively with judicial topics and in which a judge explains the interrelationships and backgrounds of our legal system using the concrete examples of real court proceedings in order to make the difficult judicial process more understandable.
Julia Scherf is particularly interested in the people who get caught up in the mills of justice. That's why JUSTICE is not only about legal disputes, but also about the social circumstances of people's lives, which form the background for the conflicts that are finally settled in court.
"People who are in court want to be understood with their worries and needs and understand what the law has to say about their case. This is where we want to help - by explaining the reasons for legal rules, the meaning and purpose of standards, and how procedural rules work." Judge Julia Scherf.
JUSTICE has been running successfully on RTL since October 2013 and deals with topics such as medical malpractice or juvenile delinquency that are as close as possible to the reality of viewers' lives.
